Weekly newsletters are sent from Mr. Bourke every Friday. These are forwarded to individual Parents/Carers.
The newsletter also sits in the school bag on the front page of the website.

January 2015 Newsletter
On behalf of the staff, thank you for your most generous Christmas gifts, cards and good wishes. We hope you all enjoyed the festive season and that 2015 proves to be a good year for you. Also a huge thank-you to all your generous donations and contributions to our Christmas Hampers, we raised £70 through the raffle.
Nursery Topic
This term we will be continuing our celebrations topic until the end of January. As part of this topic we have been looking at different celebrations around the world, in different cultures and countries. We would welcome anybody who would like to come and speak to the children about different festivals or traditions they have been involved in. Over the coming weeks the children will also be enjoying some live music and dance from around the world. We are very lucky to have Miss Mercedes Cabellero, a native Spanish teacher working with the nursery children on Mondays and Fridays to further enhance this topic.
Cooking with…
To coincide with our Celebrations topic, we are going to change our Tuesday ‘Reading with…’ initiative to ‘Cooking with…’ mum/dad/gran/granda etc. If you would be interested in coming into the nursery and cooking a traditional celebratory dish with the children, please either sign up in the foyer, or let Mrs. Higgins know.
Burn’s Supper
As a finale to our Celebrations topic, we will host our Burn’s Supper on Friday 23rd January. We would appreciate any offers from parents/carers/grandparents to play the bagpipes or recite some Burn’s poetry! We will taste haggis, neeps and tatties then enjoy our own “Highland Games”.
Wrap up warm!
As the weather gets colder please ensure children are dressed warmly every day, as we will still endeavour to continue our Outdoor Learning opportunities, when appropriate.
Nursery Uniform
The new uniform has been a big hit with many parents and children. Can I please remind all parents/carers to label all items, to avoid any confusion.
Final Reminder: Enrolment for Primary School
Children who will be 5 years old before 28th February 2016 should be registered to start school in August 2015. The final enrolment for Primary School is the week beginning Monday 12th January 2014. Further details can be found in the nursery foyer or on the website. If you have any questions please speak to myself.
