Pupil Council

Pupil Council

St. Fillan’s Pupil Council was founded in May 1999.

What do the Pupil Council do?

  • The Pupil Council are the voice of the pupils in the school.
  • They present the pupils’ view of the school to the head teacher, teachers and parents.
  • They are involved in any decisions about the school.
  • They have the responsibility of ensuring that good behaviour and a friendly attitude prevails within the school and the playground.
  • They make suggestions for fundraising and for school improvements.

Each year representatives from Primaries 3-7 are elected by secret ballot to form a Pupil Council.
